2:00–3:30pm
Franco Salmoiraghi will offer a slide presentation and talk story on how his photography has been shaped by experience. An incident he photographed at age 14, a railway tank car explosion in Southern Illinois, started him on his photographic journey that culminated in his documentation of the Hawaiian Cultural Renaissance and life in the islands over many decades.
This program is free and open to the general public. Ke Alaula is the accompanying program for the exhibition The OGs: Photographers of the Silver Gelatin Process, September 6 – December 6, 2024.
