Exhibition Walkthrough with Co-Curator Andre Perez
Join Andre Perez as he gives a walkthrough of the exhibition Ho’okāhi Ka ‘Ilau Like Ana.
“Ho’okāhi ka ‘Ilau Like Ana” celebrates the interconnectedness of Pacific peoples. This exhibition explores the shared currents of culture, history, and identity that flow through Oceania, uniting us across vast expanses of water. The ocean is not a boundary but a bridge—a symbol of collective strength, resilience, and boundless potential.
It is the water that connects the people of the Pacific. We should not be defined by the smallness of our islands but in the greatness of our oceans. We are the sea; we are the ocean. Oceania is us.
