KĀNE‘OHE–Gallery ‘Iolani presents a centuries-old ceramic art form originated in Japan in an exhibition of 37 potters and ceramic masters who participated in the Raku Ho‘oleule‘a 2017 at Mokulē‘ia in May 2017. The exhibition includes more than 70 artworks that were glazed and fired at the beach, and juried by experts in contemporary and traditional raku categories. Approximately 70 artists, including Hawai‘i Craftsmen members and visitors from the mainland U.S. and Thailand, participated in this year’s ho‘olaule‘a.
